My name is Darren Watson, and I have been involved in darts online and on various social media channels since around 2006. I first threw a steel tip dart when I was about 6 years old, it was some rusty old dart myself, and a friend found on the local common. Not long after it was stuck in my forehead as we played a silly game of pass the dart! The stupidity of youth eh!
Darts has always been in my life in some capacity since then, but it was not until my early 30’s that it really took hold and I was properly addicted.
Sadly I had quite a bad shoulder injury in 2009 which resulted in losing my natural throw and having problems for a long time after, so in that 18+ months while I was unable to throw I collected a lot of darts.
I have bought well over 2000 sets of modern and vintage darts since then, and it became an obsession but one that many others also share.
In 2012 I helped create Darts Nutz forum which has since gone on to become the biggest independent darts forum in the world.
It was around that same time; I also created my YouTube channel focusing mainly on darts video reviews.
The channel has become the most popular channel for reliable and detailed darts reviews and is highly praised in the darts industry and more importantly from darts fans for the depth of information and integrity provided.
In all that time my reviews were posted on the Darts Nutz forum and still are, but for a long time I have had an idea for a separate stand-alone site just for reviews, so this is it.
The main purpose for me now as a dart reviewer is still to provide the high level of detail I have done in the past, but to make it easier and quicker to find that info, and to make the dart reviews as concise as possible so you the viewer can get what you need quickly to help in your darts buying decisions.
Hopefully, this new dart reviews website will help you do that, and I also hope you enjoy reading and watching the reviews as much as I have had making them.
