Here is another set in the Shot Wild Frontier range, this is the Prospector.

Its a rear weighted barrel design so thick at the rear and a long front half taper that starts quite thin.

The barrel has a dual black and gold titanium coating and again has the revolver grip which is running through this range of darts.

There is also some other interesting grip at the front and middle with a thin triple ring grip and then a kind of beveled ring grip with notches cut through it. At the very rear is a more normal thin double ring grip. Its very close to a high level on some parts but as its quite a mix of grip styles I would say overall its about high medium.

As I am a front gripper and not always keen on thin tapered fronts I was surprised to find the dart nicely balanced for me, that rear weighted feel seem to be working better with my throw than I thought it would but overall I am still not that comfy gripping on the thin front. It certainly feels like a dart that should suit rear grippers well though but could still be worth a look for front and middle grippers if you fancy trying something different, it just might surprise you too! 🙂

Machining is very nicely done but there was some patchiness on the black coating and because of that I took a point off. Really its a bit nit picky but its a judgement based on the price as much as anything.

Sadly the price is high especially from UK shops, its around £10 less from some overseas shops but you may still get stung with postage.

So nice quality but at a premium price but overall a nicely made dart that feels nice to throw.
