This is the Harrows Supergrip: Ultra from the new Harrows 2021 launch. The Supergrip range has been a popular one for Harrows so its nice to have a new update for 2021.
As the name suggest though its a grippy dart! Its made up of very thin rings that are in a mix of single rings with wide and deep spaces and thin double rings. Its a very edgy dart because of this. However when the dart just rests in the fingers it does not feel especially grippy, as soon as you have a slight amount of pressure or wiggle your fingers though you can feel the sharp edges.
In spite of that though they released easily enough, I think the trick is to keep a delicate hold of the dart, you should not be gripping it tightly anyway but with these even less pressure is desirable 🙂
May be too grippy for some and also could be a bit strong for beginners but for anyone who likes a front weighted style and plenty of grip, its well worth trying.
The dart also has a nice deep black ti coating so it contrasts nicely with the silvery rings and it comes with some new Ultra flights that have a kind of embossed surface. Finished off with the Supergrip carbon silver stems, its a neat looking set up.
Because of the edgy wide spaced grip you may get some damage to the flights, think it depends how your darts sit up in the board and how the incoming darts make contact, but grippy darts are often flight shredders lol!
I quite enjoyed throwing these but think its possibly a little too grippy for me personally.
They are very nicely machined again from Harrows and perfectly weight match again which is impressive. Also once again the price has been kept to a very reasonable level which is always good.
