This is the final one to review in the Shot Roman Empire series, I have reviewed the Ballista and the Legion so now for the big boss the Caesar 🙂

As befitting the theme this dart has all the decadence of the Roman Empire with its fancy machining and lovely gold and purple titanium coating and a 95% tungsten barrel too.

It continues with the Testudo grip on the front taper and has the Hilt grip on the rear but in the centre is the Gladius grip. As you can see its machined in the shape of the roman gladius sword.

I still think the Testudo is around medium level grip though and the Gladius just a touch grippier or some may feel the deep gouge more but the Hilt grip is grippiest, at least to me it is 🙂

Its a nice length for me but as mentioned in the past I dont always like a taper, kind of depends on the dart but with these it felt fine. Balance is in centre but the taper is fairly wide so it still felt very nice to throw for me as a front gripper.

I think middle grippers will get the best for balance though so well worth a try for you.

Rear grippers get the most grip and again balance is not too bad as its not a long dart.

The dart looks great though, easily the best in the range for me and a lot better than I thought it would be.

Quality is very very good again, I just marked it down due to some roughness on the purple coating but its not really noticeable to the eye, only in my pics so perhaps I am a little tough on that one.

Value again is the issue, for UK people its expensive but it has got a lot going for it with all the machining and two coatings. For New Zealanders its a little cheaper but of course all things are relative but seems a bit better value there.

I think that really is the only issue though. Its a very nice dart to throw and a pleasing comfortable shape for some grip positions.
