Recently Shot darts signed Swedish player Daniel Larsson to their brand and these are part of the Shot Pro Series.
There is two models available, the ones I am reviewing are the 90% with the Nordic Blue PCT coating and there is a plain 80% version.
Its a straight barrel dart with a mix of grip styles which is mostly high medium to high level. So it should work well for most grip style.
I think Larsson grips with his thumb in the centre and other fingers spread along the barrel, Shot worked with him in designing this dart and as such it feels centrally balanced with a nice wavy ring grip in middle.
For me as a front gripper its got a slightly chunky feel at the front but also the grip is quite edgy at first. It was a touch sticky until I got used to it, but if you like a grippy dart you will be happy with it.
The centre was surprisingly nice to throw from and released from the fingers well and has great balance, so a good one for mid grippers.
Rear grip is a nice feeling grip and I dont see any reason it wont suit a natural rear gripper, for me was a little difficult as its not my natural grip but also my finger is not so good so was difficult to control it. I do get a fair amount of spin because of the grip though.
Its a very nice looking dart and very well machined again from Shot. Overall the quality is top class but sadly still a touch expensive. The 80% version is a little cheaper though so at least you have a choice 🙂
