Another nice range from Mission Darts, these are the Quadrant. There is four models in the range and here I am reviewing the M4. Its a classis straight barrel style with a nice flat bull nose and two sections of the Mission Quad grip.
The Quad grip as you can see is a blocky style of grip, lots of little chunky squares basically.
I think as the barrels are new the edges of all those little blocks is creating a fair bit of stickiness to the flesh so you will need a deft touch and could feel a little too sticky for some. I got used to it after a while though and on the whole the darts were flying rather nicely. I do think the grip may improve once that edginess has been smoothed off a touch with wear. Not going to be grippier though just a little easier to release. Of course some people may prefer the stickiness I guess 🙂
As its a straight barrel dart I think it should work well for any style and its a kind of dart in the goldilocks zone apart from the grip, everything else is not too short, not too long, not too thick and not too thin but may be for some too grippy.
Because of the location of the smooth band around the middle then may be middle grippers are not getting the most out of it so probably best for front and rear grippers.
The barrels have a fair amount of machining on but all the cuts looked nice and neat so quality was great.
Value is not too bad really, kind of middle of the road 🙂
