Another model from the new brand Loxley darts Robin Hood themed range. These are the Scarlet as in Will Scarlet. Its a good no nonsense functional straight barrel style with a classic ring grip. It has a nice short tapered nose which has some micro grip on, then the main part of the barrel is a straight ring grip style, and towards the rear it tapers with a smooth section and then a ring grip with lateral cuts through it.

I think its a style that can suit many grips but should be particularly suited for front and middle grippers. I think the taper at the rear just gives it a nice mid to front balance but not so much that its too front biased.

Probably a good all rounder really as the ring grip style is around medium to low medium but the rear just a little grippier and its nice the nose has some grip too.

I was told this is a model that will change next year so its effectively a limited run in this current design.

There is only the one weight available too.

I found the dart very much to my liking though, I think a touch shorter still and it would suit me even more. Its very easy to throw and has a good balance for me as a front gripper. Certainly worth a consideration if you dont like the more complicated grip darts though 🙂

Nicely made again and price point is fair so a good addition to the Loxley range.
