Shot have brought out this Zen range as a more simple style of dart, lots of people love their more fancy machined darts but also many want a more simple style hence this new range 🙂
They also come in a more minimalist style pack befitting the nature of the range of simplicity I guess.
Its a straight barrel dart with a neat variation of a ring grip style with a nice black titanium coating.
The grip itself is a hybrid version of the Shot Pyramid grip but a little less grippy, probably best to watch the video and see the pics to get the idea of it. Its widely space so provides so grip but has a less edgy feel than the full Pyramid grip so releases easy enough.
The barrel looks longer than it is but for me the 50mm is a length which is just about at my limits so still a touch long for me personally but I think one that most people will be happy with.
The darts felt quite pleasant to throw and I think the feel of the grip helps in that respect, its got something to hold onto and help with propelling the dart but without been too sticky.
It should work well for all so I guess it just depends if you like the look and dimensions.
As usual with Shot the quality is spot on and this range is just a little more wallet friendly than some of their higher end darts so I guess thats a good thing too 🙂
