Its a classic straight barrel style much like the previous Duzza dart which is based around the classic Bristow barrel. This new version has a little more grip with a mix of thin and wide rings with fairly deep grooves. The grippiest part of the barrel is where the wide rings are at the front and its a high medium and the rest of the barrel is around medium level except for around the logo area where its low level.
I think its a neat looking dart and the mettalic red coating in the grooves is a very nice deep red which has a nice sheen to it also, it works well with the three highlighted white painted groves and is of course the colurs of the Boro where Glen and myself come from 🙂
As with most straight barrel darts they should be fine for many grip styles.
For me as a front gripper they felt good to throw and were quite smooth but worked better for me with standard flights. They are a touch grippier than the previous model but still release nice and easy from the fingers. They almost felt a little chunkier too even though they are only about a tenth of mm wider.
As is often the case with straight barrel darts the balance felt best around the middle and grip wise there is still plenty of grip for most there.
When trying the darts from the rear I was mostly on the smooth part so not as much grip but the darts were still flying quite smooth if not very accurately for me lol.
Quality was the darts are very neatly machined, edges are nice and clean cut and overall it has a good quality feel.
So whether your a front a middle or a rear gripper I think its a dart that would work well if you like a straight barrel style but for players that want a decent level of grip then I think front grippers have it best on this one and depending on how far you grip on the rear then if your a rear gripper you may have least amount of grip if around the smooth section.
But a nice take on a classic style which should work well for many and looks very neat too.
