I hit a 180 first ever throw with them, WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! 🙂 Only took me around 2000 sets to manage that though lol!

Its a straight barrel dart with a fairly flat bull nose. Around the front it has a couple of rings of a kind of flat shark style grip then a smooth section then the bulk of the barrel is made up of a concertina style grip then a smooth section and then a couple of rings of the concertina grip then a smooth section on the rear with the players signature. Overall its about a high medium level of grip.

Well of course I was chuffed and amazed to hit a 180 first throw with these, I have only had a 180 on a first throw once or twice before but never on a first throw of a new set, had a few 140’s first throw and had 2 180’s within the first few throws of the old style Whitlocks when I first got them years ago but I was not expecting it with these!

I thought straight away after my first throw that the darts seemed to be spinning a lot, next throw I thought it spun even more and I think I was just thinking about that more than anything so when the third went in I was quite amazed! But they are still spinning a lot for me with my front grip. I am not quite sure why, I don’t think the shark style grip at the front is overly grippy so I can only think its because of the smooth part and then moving across with my fingers slightly to that shark style, but not really sure. Either it would not matter if I was throwing them well all the time. I have thrown them more since and had a few 140’s so they are certainly not bad and the length is around what I like, but they are a bit thinner than I would prefer. Other than the spin they were fairly smooth though but also the short point is something I would change as my finger would fall off it at times.

Now when I tried from the middle and was fully on the concertina style grip I was expecting the spin to be worse but its was the opposite, they hardly spun at all and were actually very smooth through the air. Balance was better but it usually is on the middle with straight darts but I like the feel of the grip and although I was not amazingly accurate with them they just felt enjoyable to throw from the middle.

From the rear it was a bit mixed for me, I had some fly nice and smooth and some with a bit of spin and fishtailing, it could be fine for natural rear grippers but I think if your right on the rear its a bit of mixed feel grip wise like the front.

So I think as its a straight barrel dart it could be fine for most styles but I think middle grippes may get the best from them because of the nice grip.

Its a nice elegant looking dart and kind of simple in its style but one I think with a couple of minor chagnes I would have rated higher for me personally, but still I have enjoyed throwing them 🙂

Quality is very nice and price is not over the top but as they are not on the UK market you can only buy abroad which dampens it a bit sadly.
