This is a set from a new brand from Hungary called Cinege. It started around the end of 2017 and I believe was originated from an Hungarian retailer called Darts Piac.
A lot of the models they have made have a bird theme and the logo and packaging has a bird and feathers on it, not sure why, may be the owner is a bird watcher but the word cinege is Hungarian for the bird species of tit, so a bit of interesting background for you there 🙂
The darts are only in steel tip, not sure they could make a soft tip version the same anyway, not with that long thin tapered front.
Its a very sleek elegant looking dart but not for me as a front gripper. May be some front grippers like a thin taper but it almost felt like I was just holding a long point. Having said that it did not fly too badly and if you move up a little to the ring grip in front of the scallop then it flies well.
I do think its probably best for middle and rear grippers though.
The scallop felt rather nice to throw from and may even be one of the best scalloped darts I have tried from a mid section.
The rear is where it is most grippy and again felt nicely balanced and easy to throw from the rear.
Quality of the darts is really nice although I do kind of worry a little about having such a long thin taper, the tungsten is very thin around the point, its not a dart I would feel confident in re-pointing thats for sure!
I enjoyed throwing these though, they reminded me a little of the Bulls Robert Wagner darts I review in the past, a dart which did not necessarily suit me but I had a lot of pleasure in throwing, just like these Vigilante 🙂
Price I think its not too bad either. Certainly looking forward to trying more darts from this brand.
