Not long ago I did an unboxing video of Gabriel Clemens limited edition darts from Evolution as he was leaving to join Target. Since then like many others I have been eagerly awaiting the release of his Target model so here they are the Target generation 1 Gabriel Clemens darts.
The darts shape is pretty much the same as his previous model but has a nice addition of the Storm Nano points which gives a smooth transition from point to barrel and suits the dart well.
The barrel still has the front tapered style but I think the middle section has been improved. Its still got a smooth section there but the little extra grooves either side help give a little bit of grip.
For me the barrel is nicely balance but the grip on the front is a little too low for me personally. The darts seemed to work well with the supplied short stems though and once I got into a rhythm with them they were flying rather nice, still would have preferred more grip though, but they are made for Clemens not me and he grips on the rear.
The front is a kind of flat micro style grip but the rear is a more traditional thin ring grip. There is also the stone or sandblasted finish in the grooves, hard to say for sure if its doing much but it is a little more grippy on the rear overall.
Its a neat looking dart and should work for any style of grip if you like a front tapered barrel but probably best for people that like to grip the rear like Clemens or if you dont need a lot of grip and are a front gripper give it a go.
At £45 its certainly not too bad a price and a lot cheaper than what the Evolution version of his darts were so thats good!.
