Another model from the new brand in darts Loxley. As with a lot of the recent models these are also themed around the Robin Hood legend, these are the Tuck which is representing Friar Tuck the monk from the Robin Hood story 🙂
They are only available in 25g and its a nice sleek tapered style barrel with a mix of smooth sections and ring and groove grip. It is coated in a nice brown bronze titanium coating which adds a little warmth to the grip but looks really well on the darts, just gives it a nicer overall look I think.
The front is tapered and then it gets a little thicker around the middle and then gentle tapers to the rear. Most of the ring grip is on the rear but I dont really see any reason that it wont be a nice dart for front and middle grippers too. Balance is around just rear of centre with all set ups but its a bit on the long side for me personally. I think it still flies nice and with short stems on it was a whole let better still.
If I was to guess I would probably say people who hold at the rear with fingers spread may get the best from it but it seems like a nice all round dart anyway, just depends if you dont need a lot of grip and are happy with long barrels.
Loxley recently lowered the prices of their range so these are a little cheaper than when they first came out so at current price I think its a good buy.
Its a fairly basic style but done very well and the coating is what makes it for me, well worth a look if it fits with your style of dart.
