This is the Mission Chiron darts from the recent new Mission 2021 launch. There is two models in the range one is a torpedo style and the model I am reviewing here which is the M1 straight barrel. The darts have another neat variation on the ring grip design, this one made up of double thin rings with wider concave or scalloped rings inbetween. Its a great looking dart with a blue and black electro plated coating.
The darts have a slightly tapered bull nose and a smooth taper on the very rear. The bulk of the grip is the rings and wider scallop rings which are a little similar to the Paradox but this is a shorter thicker barrel. The grip is not overly grippy but has a very nice feel to it and releases easy from the fingers.
I think the darts should be a great all rounder, front, middle and rear grippers should be happy with these unless you like to grip at the very rear as there is not so much grip there.
For me these are more comfortable for my grip and throw than the Paradox are but the Paradox did fly much better than I thought they would but these fly rather well too. Sweet spot is probably around middle but the overall balance was fine for me as a front gripper and I enjoyed throwing them.
I think these are likely to be a great seller for Mission because of its all round appeal, another goldilocks style, not too long or short and not too thick or thin and also not too slippy or grippy.
Its a great looking dart that is very neatly machined and the touch of colour I think enhances rather than spoils the overall look.
Once again its nice quality and price if very fair for such a dart with all this machining, so for me a great dart! 🙂
