Ok then here is the one people have been badgering me for lol I ordered these as soon as Red Dragon put them on their site, I knew they would be popular so wanted to make sure I got a set for review. I quite liked the look of them too but also in the back of my mind thought they will be too long for me, but I never let things like that get in the way of a purchase 🙂

These must have been in high demand though as there was a bit of delay in the release but finally got them!

It was really great to see Peter Wright win though, I am so pleased for him as he has been close so many times so well done Peter!

I have lost count of how many sets he has had now, so if someone knows they exact number then comment with the answer, I am sure there will be more to come this year though lol!

This is a straight barrel dart with a tapered nose and two main sections of grip. The front half has a black pvd coating and the rear has a rainbow pvd coating. The middle is a mix of thin rings, grooves and smooth bands.

The grip although called a razor grip is not really like the usual aggressive razor grip. When just feeling the darts it felt like it was almost verging on to a high medium level but when throwing the darts it actually felt closer to medium. Its a flat narrow razor grip which has a little bite when pushing forward with the fingers but not aggressive at all. As is often the case though it may depend on the individual but I think most will say its quite a mild grip.

As its a straight barrel dart though it could work for any style of finger placement but front and rear grippers probably get the best out of it.

For me though its just a bit too long, and a touch too thin. I have played with them some more with short stems and got them flying better but still longer than I prefer.

If thats the style you like though then give em a try I think you will be very pleased.

Its a neat looking dart but I felt the rainbow coating could have had a stronger colour but could be just a thing with my set, another set could be stronger as the coating process for such a coating is not exact.

Overall the darts are neatly machined if nothing spectacularly complicated in design and the contrasting black and rainbow colours is nice.

Prices wise I think they have done well to put them out at around £50, granted they could be cheaper but they also could have been more greedy as its a world champs dart and sold them for more, I think they will sell well at this price though.

So if its the style you like then try them, for me its just too long and too thin but still enjoyed trying them out and look forward to what the next Snakebite set will be 🙂
