These are the new Target RVB95 G3 darts from the Target 2020 launch. Its basically the same dart as the Limited Edition Target RVB Legacy darts, so if you were not able to get a set of those or you want another similar set then these are for you 🙂
The barrel design is inspired by the darts Barney used in his first world championship win, the classic Triple B and its a popular style for many but now with the Nano and pixel grip and also Target Swiss point system.
As I have said before the Nano grip is one of them grips that often has divided opinion, some it can feel gripp to and others its kind of slippy. I think its improved a little when as with these its got rings cut through, for me though its still lowish level grip. I also find it still feels a little slippy when my fingers get sweaty. The rear has a fine pixel ring grip but also has a nice black ti coating which I feel enhances the grip just a little and therefore for me it felt a touch grippier than the front.
Overall though the darts are such a pleasant style to throw and one that can easily suit many types of grip, its just one of them all time classic styles that work well for many.
I much prefer these slightly lighter set than the Legacy I reviewed previously, feels so easy and effortless to throw but I think I would certainly change to a slightly longer point.
Its very nicely made but it is a fairly basic style so nothing too complicated machining wise but often simpler is better for most.
I guess the only problem is for people who need more grip, if you are happy with a mild grip then they are well worth a try but of course still on the pricey side 🙂
