So another set from the Harrows 2019 line up and another one that I think is going to be quite popular. The Predator come in a more standard package but its still a very nicely designed and machined dart. Once again though they are very reasonably priced at just under £35!!!

These have a nice mix of grip styles and are nicely finished off with a contrasting black ti coating, so another good looking set.

The dart has a small tapred bull nose and is tapered from front to around middle. Quite chunky at the front at around 7mm but tapers to a thinner 6.5mm just before the thin ring grip and then its a straight width of 6.7mm for much of the rest of the barrel. So a kind of mix of taper and parallel profiles.

I would say the grip is around high medium for most of the full length of the dart although it kind of felt a touch grippier when I threw them. The front has a kind of stepped ring feel and the rear is a kind of wavy ring grip. Its a nice feel from the rear grip though.

For me as a front gripper the darts are certainly front balanced but not excessively so that it should put off a middle or rear gripper, but you may feel the front weighted feel more at the rear. It had a nice arc in flight for me but I did get a fair amound of spin due to the slight edginess of the thin rings. I thought from the middle it would feel a bit weird as its on a normal thin ring grip and the Ultra Traction grip but it felt fine although the dart seemed to fly a little flatter for me. Like I already said I like the feel of the rear grip and it was ok through the air for me so should be fine for natural rear grippers.

After I did the video review I was unsure what to score these for the Suitability For Me rating, I was thinking may be 7.5 or 8 but since then I have thrown them a fair bit more and they are performing very well so it looks like I have another Harrows dart that is vying for my attention lol I tried my medium and standard flights set up but they seem to be flying best with the inbetween stems and smaller flights, I think it is just helping the balance and getting to the board a touch quicker which seems to work in the darts favour when I throw it 🙂

I have had quit a few close 140’s so far and I found the darts work best when I have a very light release with them, its almost like they are just dropping into the board as if dropped from above, hard to explain but its fun 🙂

So guess I have a dilemma now, these the Oracle or the Spina, hmmmm?

Once again though they are very nice quality and neatly machined again and as already said for £35 its very definitely worth a try. I have noticed a couple of dings on the front of one dart though, but I have been getting some close groupings so probably just normal wear and tear. Also annoyingly I have had 4 robin hoods so far, not sure if that’s down to the wide nose but could be.

Its another great dart though and I like it 🙂
