But I will touch on it again here. This is the first dart that has Target new interchangeable/replaceable point system which Target have said they have been developing for around 3 years. The SWISS point was brought about because Target said they have been selling a lot of different points in recent years so there is obviously a market for special points but some people have had issues fitting them.

The points are designed with a very fine thread which keeps them securely in place without coming loose at all. However they are also designed with a small groove to ensure that if the point does break it breaks at that groove meaning the broken part can still be removed easily.
For many people so far that is an issue as lots have had the points break exactly at that groove, so maybe the design works a little too well!
There is of course some people that have not managed to break a point yet, myself included, but I suspect its only a matter of time before it does.
The idea of an interchangeable point is not new and some will argue its just a marketing gimmick from Target, however I can see it been useful for some people and if your happy with it then fine. Personally I see nothing wrong with the old normal and tried and tested points we have used for years be I do appreciate the design of these new SWISS points but just wish they were a little more durable.
So after all that I want to now focus on the darts themselves. The dart I reviewed is a little heavier than my usually weight and as you can see it has a very fancy and unique grip style, kind of like a honeycomb pattern. The darts also have a decent rear grip and are coating in black titanium and overall look great!
The new SWISS point system needed a great looking dart like these to introduce it though, it would not have had the same interest if it just came out first with a plain ring grip straight barrel 🙂
There is three models in the range and the set I reviewed are a front weighted style. The grip has a nice edgy feel and I even managed a 180 in slow mo when trying them out!
Since then I have had more time with them and overall for me the dart is lovely to throw, its such a nicely weighted and easy to throw dart that I have really enjoyed playing with them. Its very well machined and has just enough grip to keep perfect control.
As for the points, if I did not know they were removable I would have thought they were fixed, they have never come loose yet so in that respect Targets design certainly works but question is still do we need it?
Although its a fairly expensive dart I think the level of machined grip is probably just about justifying the price tag and they come with two sets of points and the point tool too.
Basically then a very nice dart but could have been just as nice in normal fixed points.
