Here is a new set from Quantum Darts and a nicely front tapered style too. Its a 95% tungsten barrel which has helped keep the thickness down to a reasonably 7mm at the front.
The barrel is made up of 7 sections of ring grip comprising three grooves with two thing rings and then the end rings are a little wider and flatter and meet the next similar ring of the next section separated by a thin groove. So its a nicely uniform grip covering the main grips zones for front, middle and to some extent rear grippers.
Of course at the very end it has a smooth section so if you are a rear gripper that likes to grip right at the end then may be not for you.
I would say its likely front and middle grippers will get the best from it due to its balance and as a front gripper it flew rather well for me. As its 26g though its a little heavier than my usual 23g, so as a front gripper it probably felt more like a 27g or more but it worked well with the arc of my throw and is nice and easy to release from the fingers.
Quality is fine overall, and for the price its a really decent dart thats definitely worth a look. Great for beginners and people who dont want or need too much grip but like a front weighted style.
