This is a review of a new model from a new darts brand called Imagine. The Kokasen 22g steel tip dart is the first model that has gone into mass production from this brand which is located in Taipei, Taiwan.

As it is an Asian brand and soft tip is so big in Asian countries its nice to see they are making steel tip darts too. I think their main market is still soft tip darts but if you check out their FB page you can see some of the custom sets they have made in both steel and soft tip and some are very unique and beautifully made.
The Kokasen is also a very nicely made dart but is probably more for rear gripper due to most of the grip there. Its a short barrel though so can work just as well for middle and front grippers. For me as a natural front gripper the dart was very nicely weighted and balanced and flies quite smooth through the air but personally I could have done with more grip at the front.
Its got a fairly wide nose but its rounded nicely and has a taper that then moves onto a wider section with notches cut into it. So a low level grip but could be fine for some front grippers.
The middle section is a wide indented part but there is a little bit of grip from the lip.
Rear grippers certainly have the best of it for grip, it may look more aggressive than it is though but felt comfortable in the fingers.
One thing I do like and appreciate is the highly polished tungsten. This is often a feature from Asian brands and it just gives that extra look of quality, it wont last for long like that once it gets oxidised, but its possible to clean it back up to some where near the new state.
Quality overall then is really good and I look forward to seeing what other models this brand come out with.
Value wise its a little on the pricey side but its probably within a good level for the target countries, but in the UK I guess we are spoiled with choice 🙂
