Loxley darts have recently brought out their new range of darts and they are based around the Robin Hood legend, these are the Nasir which are named after a character that was on the 1980’s TV series Robin of Sherwood.
Its a long straight barrel dart with a mix of ring grip, at the front a wide chunky ring grip with lateral cuts and on the rear a shallow double thin ring grip.
The nose of the barrel is very flat and square but still has a slightly rounded edge so not sharp. I actually found it a comfy spot for my finger to rest against, even though the points are a little short at 26mm it felt ok as my finger was closer to the barrel giving me room for my other finger to rest on the point the way I like 🙂
As its a straight barrel style it will work for any style of grip and its around medium level grip so should be a good all rounder. For me personally it is a touch long and thin but I did enjoy throwing them.
I found they work better for me with tweenie stems though and got them flying very well with that set up.
Quality was mostly fine but its a fairly basic style, there was a little burring along some of the edges of the lateral cuts but not too bad.
Overall then I think it will make for a nice classic all round dart and well worth a try if you fancy a variation on the straight barrel ring grip.
