Damon Heta is an Australian player that had a great first year in the PDC and Harrows have recently released his signature darts which are a nice front weighted torpedo style with a deep black titanium nitride coating.
The darts have an interesting front section of grip made up of a kind of scalloped bands with thin rings and grooves in the middle of each band. Its not a very grippy section but has a very nice shape and feels pleasant and comfortable in the fingers. Its a chunky front due to the front taper/torpedo shape but personally I prefer the thicker feel.
Around the middle it has two smooth bands and then starts to thin towards the rear with a normal thin ring grip.
The middle is least grippiest and the rear is the most grippy part but still just around medium level.
I found balance from front and the middle to be very nice and from the rear it felt a little more front heavy.
Its a nicely weighted dart which will likely suit front and middle grippers well but as it has a decent amount of grip on the rear its probably worth a look if you are a rear gripper who already likes this style.
For me as a front gripper I like the feel and balance but would prefer a touch more grip for the front.
Very neatly machined and coated by Harrows once again and a perfect weight matching of all three barrels which is always nice to see.
Value wise I think its pretty fair 🙂
