Thanks to Loxley darts for sending these for review. Its another players model and this one is the Aaron Beeney darts.
The darts are a fairly unique style, tapered front and scalloped centre and slight taper to rear section. I have to admit its a style I know is not suited to me, but its a players model so obviously the scallop fits in with the player and if it fits in for you then great too!
The darts have a nice black titanium coating and some rings and painted groove section that give it a nice contrast, also the Loxley logo is in a gold colour so again looks good against the black.
Grip is very nice, its one of my favourite types, a fine micro grip on the front taper and a thin ringed micro grip on the scallop then a mix on the rear.
Micro grip is a grip I have always liked ever since the first dart I tried with it on, think they may have been the old Harrows Dudbridge darts but its a grip that often wears quick sadly, still if you dont like a lot of grip you will be fine with that.
The scallop section is probably the sweet spot on these darts and it released easily enough from my dodgy fingers and certainly feels nicely balanced on that part of the barrel.
For me as a front gripper I dont think it suits me, the long taper is not something I feel comfy with anyway but some front grippers may be fine with it.
It did fly better from the rear than I was expecting but not entirely sure I would recommend it as a rear grippers dart really.
Very nice sleek looking darts though, one that I think will suit mid grippers best but may also suit some front grippers and even people who want to grip the front ring and groove section. I tried it from that after my video review and it seemed a little better to throw from there than the taper for me.
Darts are nicely coated and machined but weight match was a little mixed and thats the only reason I lowered the quality rating, I do suspect its down to the painted rings though, throwing things off a little more than it should. Other than that its a very neat dart but again a little pricey but remember a good portion of the profit is going towards supporting the player 🙂
