When I first saw this on the Winmau 2021 launch I thought it looked like a neat little gadget, kind of not needed I guess but could still see a use for it. It said it was a flight dispenser that can hold 50 flights, so I was interested lol
Ok I know most people wont have a need to transport so many flights with them to their local pub but my intention was more of using it as a gadgety way of clearing up the mass of flights I have lying in a drawer. Also I like little gadgets and gizmos and it was only £4.99 so why not 🙂
I was not expecting anything amazing for the price but I was at least expecting it to do the job I wanted it for, storing my flights. Problem is a use the normal standard size flights mostly, and they wont fit 🙁
As you can see in my video I tried a few shapes of flights and some work ok and others not so good but it seems to be mostly suited to the smaller standard shape, so kind of limiting in a way and also a little disappointing too.
I did actually manage to squeeze over 90 flights in it, but I think the 50 flights limit is more sensible to make it work better.
Thats kind of where the gadget fails somewhat, it will dispense the flights but more often than not more than one at a time, so not so great.
Watching the video explains more but I feel this is something that was a great idea but slightly flawed in its design and execution, pity really.
The other thing was at one point the little platform tipped inwards and the spring came out, it was a real fiddle to get back in and I almost gave up, so be careful how you press it down.
Nice idea then but not as good as I was hoping for.
